Kickstart Your Engineering Career with Terex - Make an Impact from Day One! Location: Carrickmacross. Role: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer. Team: Terex MDS Engineering. Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Mon-Thurs), 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Fri). Reports To: Design Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing- Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for next gen equipment.
- Create detailed drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks) including weldments and assemblies.
- Build BOMs (Bill of Materials) and collaborate with suppliers to gather product data.
- Ensure designs are safe, functional, and field ready.
- Solve real time engineering problems - both on the production floor and in the field.
- Work cross functionally with teams across engineering, operations, and customer support.
- A degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering (or similar).
- Solid grasp of 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PDM systems.
- A passion for designing systems that integrate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical elements.
- Problem solving mindset and creative flair for innovation.
- Strong communication skills and a team first attitude.
- A curiosity to learn and a "let's figure it out" approach to challenges.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
- Familiarity with mobile machinery electrical/hydraulic systems.
- Understanding of how to balance technical feasibility with commercial impact.
- Presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
