Graduate Cover Supervisor - Pontefract

We are recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible, ad hoc basis in a welcoming and well-supported secondary school within a large, successful trust in the Pontefract area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, benefit from ongoing support and training, and take the first step towards a career in education.

We are looking to appoint for a September start and work across 5 schools for the full Academic Year.

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Supervise pupils, manage classroom behaviour, and keep students on task
• Offer support to pupils across a variety of subjects and year groups
• Report back to teaching staff on student engagement and progress
• Ensure school policies and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

• A degree in any subject (education-related fields advantageous)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident in managing classroom behaviour and leading learning
• Flexible and adaptable to different subjects and age groups
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with young people
• Must be able to drive and have access to your own transport
• A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
