STATUS: Full time (37.5 hours per week), Part time (15 hours) described below.

LOCATION: Glasgow
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Initial designs for the network connection of distributed generators on behalf of Distribution/Transmission Owners.
- Power system studies, undertaking compliance studies for the connection of distributed generators.
- A host of other potential work streams such as network charging, renewables, SCADA and network regulation dependent on your skills/interest.
- Innovation work, potentially supporting one of our ongoing innovation projects, including projects on local network flexibility, data-driven asset management, and modelling of complex electrical phenomena; dependent on your skills/interest.
Essential requirements include:
- Motivated and self-driven individuals with an ambition to work within the electrical industry
- Degree/ Masters in Electrical Engineering /Power Systems or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-rounded individuals with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience of network modelling and power systems analysis (ideally of the GB system)
- Project management or project engineering experience.
- Knowledge of UK and international standards and codes.
- Software engineering/ programming skills.
We are looking for full-time Graduate Consultants with an interest in the technical aspects of our projects and a desire to work in a consultancy environment. The candidate will join our Energy Networks Team and develop a career within the renewable energy industry with exposure to a wide range of projects and activities.
The Energy Networks team assists network companies, governments and regulators with specialist studies, data analysis, and the development of innovative systems and services.

For final year students TNEI offers the unique opportunity to work part time with the company whilst you complete your relevant degree. TNEI can offer part time working contracts (Up to 20 hours per week) from January 2026 until summer 2026 before joining TNEI on a full-time basis post completion of their degree. This opportunity allows students to gain industry leading knowledge and experience in parallel with the theoretical knowledge gained from their studies.
