Job Description
We are a forward thinking, patient centered training practice with a list size of 14,000 patients and a dedicated team of 32 staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic, IT literate individual to join us as a Receptionist, supporting both our patients and clinical team.
What We're Looking For- IT literate applicant confident using clinical systems, email, and office software
- Strong communicator able to engage with patients and colleagues professionally
- Quick learner comfortable adapting to new systems and processes
- Enthusiastic team player positive, proactive, and supportive
- Front of house patient support - greeting patients, managing check ins, and handling queries
- Telephone and appointment coordination - answering calls, booking appointments, and signposting
- Administrative tasks - processing prescriptions, updating records, and supporting clinical staff
- Maintaining confidentiality - ensuring all patient information is handled securely
- We welcome both full time and part time applicants
- Applicants must be able to work at least between 8 am and 11 am
- Salary is negotiable, depending on experience
- Previous experience working with computers
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist in a GP Surgery (desirable)
- Previous experience of customer care or dealing with members of public in a frontline role (desirable)
- Good general education with good numeracy and literacy skills
- Previous experience working with computers (already listed)
- Good communication skills, oral and written
- Good team working and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility and keyboard skills
- Well mannered and well presented
- Patient, tolerant, tactful and discreet
- Enthusiastic, honest and reliable
- Self motivating, initiative, prioritising tasks, and tolerance of stress (all desirable)
- Must have valid visa with right to work in the UK
- Must be IT literate with good communication skills and able to multitask in pressured environment
