We are recruiting for Governance and Compliance Manager to oversee our clinical and compliance team across our local offices in ROI.

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have complete oversight of all aspects of Governance and Compliance across ROI, always ensuring high levels of competence and compliance. You will liaise with the Operations and Training departments, to co-ordinate and collate Governance and Compliance reporting requirements, and ensure Governance and Compliance tasks are completed in line with scheduled timeframes and in accordance with HSE and HIQA guidelines.

Travel is essential across our regional offices.

Skills and Attributes You Possess
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a lead Governance and Compliance role (preferably in the Health Sector).
  • Excellent compliance auditing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Governance principles
  • Full Clean Driving license and access to vehicle
  • Proactive approach to organizing and schedule daily workload for a team
  • High level of organisation skills with the ability to plan and prioritise with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • High levels of competence in Microsoft applications including Word, and Outlook
  • Exemplar communication skills with the ability to lead in a facilitative and confident manner.
  • A creative and strategic thinker who is able to embrace, influence and communicate improvements to the team.
  • Positive, enthusiastic and engaging person with the ability to build great working relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Operations team to ensure adherence to ROI compliance audit schedules.
  • Ensure internal audits on Client and Staff files across ROI are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
  • Support Area Nursing teams to manage entry of Governance tasks and liaise with Operations team to ensure they are completed in timely manner.
  • Report Key Performance Indictors for Governance and Compliance reporting to the Senior Management Team on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Working with the clinical team, you will generate the Governance monthly dashboard for analysis and review.
  • Facilitate the team's day-to-day compliance queries in ROI to ensure appropriate and timely responses are delivered.
  • Provide training and support during induction for senior Operations staff, to promote clear understanding and consistency for Governance and Compliance processes.
  • Support the Clinical team to identify staff training gaps and facilitate improvements to provide better care to our clients.
  • Oversee, and where required, assist Governance and Compliance team with internal audits and checks against HSE and HIQA standards.
  • Highlight trends and risks to the Clinical Governance Board Risk Register.
  • Assist with policy review, development and implementation.
  • Support preparation for external audits and inspections.
  • Anticipate and identify improvements needed and address deficiencies in the quality of service provided. This will include service development needs, education development and implementation of policies, audit processes and patient safety initiatives.
  • In partnership with the clinical team, develop and strengthen relationships with services providers both HSE and private clients to ensure smooth running of our service.
  • Liaise with the designated stakeholders within the business and external areas, eg the HSE to ensure an open culture of collaboration and disclosure is maintained.
  • Actively seek feedback from commissioners, stakeholders, staff, clients and relatives to look at service improvement and achieving positive outcomes for those who use our services.
  • Be responsible for establishing and keeping track of quality improvement and other information that concerns patient care.
  • Strive for continuous quality improvement for our service.
  • Support the clinical team to ensure Governance standards are maintained at the highest level and in accordance with statutory guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance as per HSE Tender specification 2025, and in preparation for HIQA
