At The K Club, we are currently seeking a Golf Operations Manager to join our Golf Services Team focusing on our Palmer South Course.

Responsibilities
  • To oversee the indoor and outdoor Golf Operation in its entirety.
  • To lead the golf team ensuring a positive culture, team development, member and guest satisfaction.
  • To formulate an overall retail strategy including online shopping and to manage the stocks of the retail outlets. Monitor the sales of all products identifying high volume items and slow-moving stocks and adjusting the orders accordingly.
  • To ensure the Golf Shop is presented to the highest standard, including the stock room and golf cart and trolley areas.
  • To ensure the display areas in the hotel are merchandised and changed on a regular basis and to monitor stocks and identify suitable sales opportunities for this area.
  • Evaluate all golf operations and maintain the Gold standards within the 59 club.
  • To efficiently manage the hire facilities in the Golf Shop, golf buggies, electric golf carts, golf trolleys, club and shoe hire.
  • To control the provision of all shop consumables including complimentary tees, pitch repairs, ball markers, pencils, bags, gift wrap, clothing tags etc.
  • To be responsible for the purchase of all corporate goods chosen by the visiting group of guests and ensure they meet their requirement in terms of quality and price.
  • To ensure the smooth operation of the 1st Tee and liaise with starter, course ranger.
  • To ensure the environs of the South Clubhouse are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Liaise with Teaching Professionals to maximise the member & guest experience with regards to lesson availability and availability of Teaching Professionals for Junior Development, Junior Camps, and club teams.
  • To assist the Committee with their diary of events and assist planning of member social events in the South Clubhouse.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role is required.
  • Retail experience is essential.
  • Be highly motivated and driven to achieve targets.
  • Will have excellent negotiation and decision making skills.
  • Will possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Will have fluency in English, both oral and written.
  • Will be flexible in their working hours.
  • Knowledge of Lightspeed is desirable.
  • PGA qualification is desirable.
