Responsibilities

• Set the gluing machines in accordance with works instructions and ensure quality of finished work and compliance with ISO, BRC and other standards and operating procedures.
• Ensure machine runs at optimum to maximise efficiencies.
• Work with the Finishing Manager to maintain all sundry stock levels.
• Ensure all assistants work in a safe manner and that the machine is fully compliant with all Health and Safety requirements.
• Record all information relating to the machine output correctly.

What you need to succeed

• Recent, relevant and proven machine minder experience - making ready and running gluing folding equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of gluing/folding styles using folding box board for the food packaging industry.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the post with frequent lifting of light and moderately heavy items.
• Ability to work under pressure while looking for continual improvements.
• Ability to act on own initiative and adapt quickly to change.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
