Our client is a well-established player in the packaging sector, known for investing in their people, maintaining high production standards and running a smooth, well-structured operation. Due to growth, they're looking for an experienced Machine Minder to join their finishing team.

The role

You'll be responsible for running gluing machinery to ensure accurate, consistent, high-quality output across a variety of packaging products. This is a hands-on role where you'll be trusted to:

  • Set up, adjust and run gluing / finishing machinery safely and efficiently
  • Carry out regular quality checks to maintain customer standards
  • Monitor production, troubleshoot minor issues and keep machines performing at their best
  • Complete relevant production records and follow established processes
  • Keep work areas organised, safe and compliant
  • Support a smooth workflow alongside the wider production team
  • Carry out basic maintenance and highlight any technical issues promptly

About you

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Experience operating folder-gluer / gluing machinery in a manufacturing or packaging environment
  • Strong mechanical understanding and confidence adjusting machine settings

  • A calm, reliable approach when working to tight timeframes
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
  • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern (including nights)

Packaging or print-finishing experience would be a strong advantage.

What's in it for you?

You'll be joining a stable, growing business that offers:

  • A competitive salary based on your experience
  • Additional shift premiums
  • Overtime opportunities
  • A supportive team culture and ongoing training
  • Genuine long-term progression within a growing production department
