Our particle characterisation and sorption activities across four international locations are evolving into one integrated global business unit. To accelerate this transformation, strengthen our market position and drive sustainable growth, we are looking for a
Global Sales Director (m/f/d) - Particle Characterisation & Sorption
to develop a global sales strategy, unite and upskill our sales teams, and fully leverage the outstanding potential of this highly attractive business unit.
Primary responsibilities as Global Sales Director (m/f/d) - Particle Characterisation & Sorption- Strategy: develop and implement the global sales strategy, identify market trends and potential risks, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth, and report regularly to Segment and Group management
- Sales Organisation: embed and align the current sales structure into the Verder Scientific sales organisation, implement streamlined processes and steer direct sales and distributors/channel sales activities
- Leadership: lead, coach and upskill our strong global team of sales managers and distribution partners to ensure Microtrac remains the partner of choice for particle characterisation & sorption solutions.
- Ownership: own the complete sales cycle including pipeline management, order intake and margin of all product lines of the Microtrac business.
- Cross functional collaboration: act as sparring partner for Product Management and Marketing on portfolio, positioning and go-to-market concepts to translate our technological strengths into commercial success.
- Education: degree in in a scientific or technical field (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology or similar), complemented by business qualifications - or vice versa.
- Experience: several years of successful global sales and leadership experience in a medium-sized company with international locations, preferably in analytical instrumentation with small-series production or similar.
- Leadership style: a strong drive to shape organisations and a pragmatic hands-on mentality characterise your leadership style.
- Location: Düsseldorf area to ensure on-site presence as accessible leader for your teams and readiness to travel around 30%, both internationally and nationally
- Communication: fluent English skills
