The Master Data Management Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation and maintenance of Master data Management program within the organization, by ensuring that master data is properly governed and maintained to achieve data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across the organization. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing teams, managing vendor relationships, and setting up dashboard and reports with the organization's overall objectives and industry standards. This position demands strong leadership, a forward-thinking strategy for the key master data objects, and the ability to address complex challenges while promoting growth and innovation.


You will have Expert knowledge and experience in SAP MDG combined with over 12 years of experience in project delivery, application management, or IT services within a multinational organization, demonstrating strategic planning, financial acumen, and leadership skills.


Major accountabilities:


  • Facilitate the definition and execution of the master data management roadmap strategy in alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Drives master data harmonization and leads master data management organization across business domains
  • Promote data culture and data literacy in Sandoz
  • Operationalize master data foundation
  • Represent Master Data Functional and Technical owner and align with business and teams in Sandoz for cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Lead a team to deliver master data management strategy and governance.
  • Operationalize master data governance processes for data creation and modification, define business rules, and implement and enhance data standards, integrity, and consistency.
  • Directly oversee master data management initiatives.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
  • Comply with regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation to support digital transformation and growth, staying ahead of industry trends and implementing cutting-edge technologies.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators as outlined
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure data standards meet business needs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with implementing the master data strategy
  • Provide leadership on master data management activities
  • Leverage tools and platforms for master data management
  • Manage budgets and resources for cost-effective solutions and maximum value.


Key performance indicators:


  • Project Delivery Timeliness: Track the on-time delivery of data projects and initiatives. This includes monitoring project timelines, milestones, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Assess the satisfaction levels of stakeholders, including business users and technical teams. This can be measured through surveys, feedback, and stakeholder engagement metrics.
  • Data Utilization and Adoption: Measure the extent to which master data products are being utilized by the organization, through tracking user adoption rates, frequency of use and business value delivered.
  • Data Quality and Accuracy: Measure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of master data across the applications where master data is adopted.
  • MDM system uptime and availability
  • Rate of successful MDM project completions
  • Cost-saving measures implemented through initiatives
  • Efficiency improvements in business operations
  • Resolution time for master data related issues
  • Training and development effectiveness of users


Minimum Requirements:

Work Experience and Skills:


  • Over 12 years of experience in project delivery, application management, or IT services within a multinational organization, demonstrating strategic planning, financial acumen, and leadership skills.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in SAP MDG
  • Expert knowledge in master data modelling concepts for Material, Customer, Supplier and Finance master data objects
  • Deep understanding of workflows in the respective master data areas
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to comprehend business requirements in master data
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on developing talent and fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change and innovation.
  • Experience in managing global projects and working in diverse cultural environments, with a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.
  • Proficiency in using advanced software tools and platforms relevant to the job.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and other service management methodologies.


Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certification in project management methods (Agile, ITIL, Prince 2, PMI) is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies; Certification is a plus.


Languages :


  • Fluent English required (oral and written)
