Role Overview As the Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and driving the financial strategy of the firm across both business divisions and support cost functions. Partnering closely with executives and senior management, you will deliver actionable insights and forward-looking analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term value creation.You will lead the communication of the Group's monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance, including comprehensive reporting on the statement of financial position and cash flows. By combining robust financial reporting with predictive analytics, you will help inform key decisions and ensure financial discipline across the organisation.In this role, you will also be responsible for the global coordination and execution of the Group's Budget, Q1F, and Q3F forecasting cycles. This includes delivering timely, insightful analysis and maintaining accurate tracking and reporting against rolling budgets and forecasts. Your leadership will ensure a consistent, transparent, and data-driven approach to financial planning that aligns with the firm's strategic priorities. As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will champion financial best practices and help instill a performance-oriented culture that is aligned with the firm's growth objectives.To trully be effective in this role, the Group Head of Financial Planning & Analysis is expected to; Help develop a strategic long-range plan and identify specific initiatives and projects/plans to execute it Identify resources needed to implement projects/plans and put them into the budget Understand how operational plans will drive financial results and monitor the progress of those plans Quickly identify the business reasons behind plan-to-actual financial variances Make course adjustments when falling behind on financial or operational goals Escalate both financial and non-financial operational targets to provide to more specific targets Hold people accountable for delivering financial and operational results and link to financial incentives Identify what drives business success and develop KPIs for those drivers (e.g. Establish long term and short term targets for KPIs, Monitor results of KPIs and link to financial incentives etc.). Please note: While the role is listed as being based in London, we are open to considering candidates located in other TP ICAP Group office locations, depending on the suitability of the individual and business needs. Role Responsibilities Business Partnership and Stakeholder Support Monthly meetings with Global Cost Functional Owners to understand their actual expenditure relative to forecasts and provide self-service report tooling (eg Dashboards) to support insight into spending and variance analysis Monthly meetings with Business Management Information Division Teams to receive market intelligence and performance updates Monthly meetings with Treasury and Capital Teams to receive market intelligence and cash flow position / forecast updates Partnership with Investor Relations to prepare external statements and reports Engagement with PwC on Impairment Modelling Providing PLC and Local Board Reporting updates on performance and forecasts Close partnership with the Finance Technology Function to ensure all enhancements are tabled and prioritised to support FP&A activitiesFinancial Modelling Goodwill - impairment modelling Investment in subsidiaries - impairment modelling Scenario planning and analysis Monitoring the financial impact of dedicated strategic Project spend on the overall Group financials Work with Divisional Finance teams to model impact of proposed acquisitions and divestments Executive Director Remuneration Packages WACC for the Group Partner with Treasury to model Working Capital and future cash flow requirements for the GroupLeadership and Strategy Manage a Global Team of 10 SMEs Lead training and communication on business profile changes, system enhancements, and strategic developments Mentor and guide subject matter experts, ensuring strong governance, risk awareness, and promote accountability and high-performance culture Succession planning within the team Assume the role as a technical regulatory advisor to the firm across all material jurisdictions Assess the financial impact of new Business Initiatives and supporting Group-wide strategic decision-making Deliver tactical and strategic process / framework efficiencies through transformation Lead the design and implementation of a global FP&A framework Oversee the transition from existing regional FP&A frameworks & functions into a new globally standardised operational FP&A function Ensuring consistency, compliance, and integration with business strategy and risk appetite Experience / Competences Essential Demonstrated excellence in financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solid organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outputs and consistency in reporting. Proven ability to build effective working relationships across functions, influencing and collaborating with key stakeholders. Track record of identifying issues, proposing practical solutions, and executing corrective actions. Highly self-motivated and able to work independently, taking full ownership and responsibility. Comfortable working in dynamic environments, with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Experience in leading and delivering projects or process improvements, with a focus on driving positive change within finance functions. Ability to interpret financial data, draw meaningful conclusions, and provide strategic recommendations to support business decision-making. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial analysis, presentation development, and data manipulation. Sound understanding of financial and management information systems and their role in supporting business performance. Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Desired Previous experience within the Financial Services industry is highly desirable, particularly in regulated or complex environments. Experience in Transaction Advisory Services within a Big 4 accounting firm would be advantageous, bringing valuable exposure to corporate transactions and due diligence.
