Job Description
Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Roslin, is currently looking to recruit a GIS Technician for an initial 2 month contracts on a rate of £159/day (Inside IR35). Mostly home working with occasional working onsite in Roslin.
Responsibilities:
- Support the GIS data delivery function.
- Read and interpret visual imagery (eg aerial photography, satellite imagery) together with Ordnance Survey, historical and contemporary data used to identify changes in the canopy cover across Great Britain.
- Read and interpret geospatial and non-geospatial data used to deliver various projects
- Digitise a wide range of geospatial data that involves excellent accuracy and data quality assurance at all times.
- Produce reports to identify data anomalies using a variety of geospatial techniques
- Support the GIS technical requirements within the Information and Statistics Team
