German Payroll Specialist - German Speaking

Contract Payroll Specialist (DACH region - German focus) Fully Remote | 4-6 months

We're partnering with a fast-scaling global tech business operating across 50+ countries, looking for an experienced Contract Payroll Specialist with a focus on German payroll.

This is a remote contract role for 6 months, starting ASAP, supporting a major international payroll team through a period of rapid growth and transition.

What you'll be doing

• Manage end-to-end German payroll for 500+ employees.
• Liaise with international teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth processing.
• Support a smaller Swiss payroll where needed.
• Drive accuracy, compliance, and best practice within a fast-paced environment.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience running German payroll end-to-end (400+ employees).
• Fluent or native German speaker (essential).
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and stakeholder management.
• Workday and/or Papaya experience is a plus (other platforms welcome).
• Available to start immediately or on short notice .
