We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our regional teams. ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the delivery of our UK infrastructure programs. While you will have a primary focus on the water sector-working with key regional clients such as United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, and Wessex Water-you will also have the chance to contribute to our diversifying portfolio across other sectors. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, providing essential support and expert advice to the contractors we work with.
About youAbout You
You will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related subject. You will also be a professional who is either already a Chartered member or, more likely at this level, actively and demonstrably working towards chartership with a relevant institution such as the ICE or the Geological Society.
We are looking for an engineer with a solid foundation in the following areas:
- Site Characterisation: Experience preparing desk studies for proposed construction sites, including data acquisition, site inspections, and drafting initial reports.
- Technical Reporting: A proven ability to prepare interpretative geotechnical reports for ground investigations.
- Engineering Analysis: Experience in undertaking the analysis of geotechnical structures using modern industry software and standards.
Most importantly, you will have a passion for delivering high-quality, nature-positive geotechnical solutions to our clients. Your ability to think critically about ground risk and translate it into actionable design intelligence will be critical to your success in this role.
