General Support Operative - Coventry

Apply today to work as a General Support Operative for our client, one of the biggest snack manufacturing sites in the UK, producing several well known brands.

Staffline is recruiting General Support Operatives in Coventry.

This is an ongoing position!

Rate of pay: £13.10 per hour.

Full time role on a rotating shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off; 4 nights on, 4 days off.

Hours of work:

• 6am to 6pm
• 6pm to 6am

Paid lunch breaks after 12 weeks.

Your Time at Work

As a General Support Operative you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that machines are operated in a safe manner
• Communicating with management on operational efficiencies and productivity on the production lines.
• Operating the production line, ensuring that quality control and food safety is a priority.
• Managing a team of general support operatives in your area of work.
• Completing the relevant checks and paperwork for the products in production and uploading data on tablets.
• Managing the line in terms of job rotation and break cover.
• Ensuring the area is clean and maintaining strong housekeeping in line with company standards.

The above list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to complete other duties on behalf of the customer.

You will be a confident communicator with a positive self starter attitude who is conscientious and focused on results. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and engage with production teams.

You will be organised, flexible and proactive. Basic maths, reading and computer skills are required.
