General Practitioner with MoD Experience

We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) with MoD experience to cover an assignment at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Maidstone Medical Centre, Maidstone, Kent.

This is a locum role of 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to MoD service personnel.

Pay rates:

• PAYE £60.10 per hour
• Self employed £69.12 per hour

Main Duties

• Registration with the General Medical Council main register and GMC GP Register without restrictions.
• Maintain a current, satisfactory annual appraisal in line with the GMC Good Medical Practice standards.
• Provide up to date certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults (Level 3).
• Previous MoD experience required.
• Be listed on the UK NHS Performers List and provide an NHS Performer number.
• Undertake primary healthcare (PHC) clinics for military and entitled personnel.
• Perform examinations and occupational health fitness for work assessments within scope of experience and qualification.
• Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a service person's ability to undertake duties.
• Complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
• Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with PHC and/or line management as required.

Qualifications

• Registration with the GMC main register and GMC GP Register without restrictions.
• Current, satisfactory annual appraisal in line with GMC Good Medical Practice.
• Certifications for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults (Level 3).
• Previous MoD experience.
• UK NHS Performer List membership and NHS Performer number.
• PDVG membership (Disclosure Scotland) or an Access Northern Ireland certificate.
