General Operator (FA) - Nights

Location: Bolton
Duration: 12 Months (likely to be extended)
Security Clearance Required: SC (BPSS required to start)
Pay Rate:

• PAYE: £18.46/hr rising to £19.46/hr
• Umbrella: £24.78/hr rising to £26.12/hr
• Night Shift Rate: 133% of standard rate

About the Role

We are seeking a General Operator to join our Plastics Team on a full-time, night-shift basis at our Bolton site. This position plays a key role in a precision manufacturing environment.

Work Pattern:

• Full time, onsite
• Night shifts: Monday to Thursday (10 hours per night)
• Initial training will be completed on day shifts before transitioning to nights

Key Responsibilities

• Manual application of protective resin coatings to assembled circuit boards
• Use of small hand tools, masking tape, and fine brushes
• Handling delicate components with precision and care

Candidate Requirements

• Essential: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Confidence using small tools or brushes (from professional or personal experience)
• Ability to work consistently and accurately under minimal supervision
