Manufacturing Operative (trainee role) £12.50 per hour (plus overtime at time and a half). Wednesbury Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives on behalf of a leading organisation within the production sector, based in Wednesbury.
This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering stable hours, full training, and overtime at premium rates.
You will be working as part of a supportive production team in a modern manufacturing environment.
What's on Offer- £12.50 per hour, plus overtime at time and a half
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

- Learning all aspects of conveyor belt manufacturing, including cutting by hand and operating machinery such as slitting machines, presses, and assembly equipment
- Ensuring precise measurements to tight tolerances and performing final inspections
- Manufacturing to customer specifications and company quality standards
- Following all health & safety procedures at all times
- Operating industrial and light machinery, including hand tools
- Preparing assembly materials and processing large rolls
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- Demonstrating a flexible attitude to working hours
- Are motivated and willing to learn all aspects of manufacturing
- Have some previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (full training will be provided)
- Can follow instructions accurately and maintain high-quality standards
- Are reliable, punctual, and work well as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and a flexible approach to tasks and working hours
