Job Description

Navio Ltd are currently seeking a General Operative to join our team. Predominantly based in the Leinster region, this role will involve assisting with the preparation and organisation of sites, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, and moving materials between our sites and warehouse.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation and organisation of sites.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas.
  • Loading, unloading, and moving materials between our sites and warehouse.
  • General cleaning and upkeep of the company warehouse.
  • Organising inventory and loading/unloading deliveries.
  • Demonstrate good work practices including timekeeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness.
  • Adhering to safety guidelines and following instructions from supervisors.
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing necessary paperwork.
    Working effectively with other team members and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Attend relevant training courses when required.
QEHS Management System Responsibilities
  • Comply with Navio's Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
  • Understand and apply our QEHS policy statements in all aspects of your work.
  • Contribute towards achieving Navio's QEHS objectives.
  • Ensure that the needs and requirements of Navio's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
  • Help develop and improve Navio's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
About You
  • Previous experience in engineering or construction role is a plus.
  • A Team player with ability to work collaboratively and engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Good work ethic with a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instruction.
Education
  • Safe Pass.
Licenses and Certificates
  • Full clean Irish drivers licence.
Experience
  • 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role preferable.
  • General knowledge of mechanical contracting and/or construction essential.
