General Operative - Meat Manufacturing (TBR38)

Location Ripon, England Sector Manufacturing & Production Salary £12.71 per hour

This is a General Operative role where you'll be part of the engine room of food production - keeping operations moving, supporting high daily output, and building practical skills that can open the door to long term manufacturing careers.

Your responsibilities as General Operative
  • Support production across multiple areas of the manufacturing process
  • Operate machinery such as grinders, mixers, and blenders following training
  • Help maintain production flow to meet daily output targets
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces across the production floor
  • Assist teams across departments where production demand requires
What we're looking for in a General Operative
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, or factory environments
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures within production settings
  • Experience operating or assisting with industrial food processing equipment
  • Ability to follow documented production processes and safety procedures
  • Experience working with raw meat or meat processing environments
Working hours

Minimum 40 hours per week across 5 consecutive days. Weekend working (Saturday and Sunday) required. Shifts typically range from approximately 6 to 10 hours depending on production demand. No night shifts.
