Role responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a high-performance, collaborative leadership culture, engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage performance of financial, commercial and operational challenges and targets for all areas of the business, ensuring efficient management and achievement of all Sales KPI's and Aftersales KPI's in conjunction with the Group Head of Aftersales and Sales Directors.
  • Oversee the implementation of each brand's corporate identity and customer experience standards within the dealership.
  • Lead and manage a coordinated one team mindset between Sales and Aftersales to ensure maximum efficiency, profitability and clear communication.
  • Build and nurture a robust sales team focused on efficient processes and exceptional customer experience.
  • Review performance regularly through metrics and KPIs to ensure dealership targets are met.
  • Manage and deliver on multiple objectives in a competitive, target-driven environment.
  • Deliver excellent day-to-day operational performance across all indicators.
  • Ensure the organisation structure is fit-for-purpose and manage the recruitment, onboarding, personnel training and development along with individual performance management throughout the business.
  • Ensure optimum standards are maintained in all aspects of the business with a particular emphasis on employee and customer experience.
  • Together with the Director, negotiate and agree yearly sales and aftersales targets with the brand distributors.
  • Take the lead in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing all channels of customer feedback so that shortcomings are identified and corrective action plans are implemented.
  • Position Bright Motor Navan Road as a centre of excellence and help deliver on our vision of being the most trusted Motor Group in Ireland.
  • Ensure the dealership delivers an exceptional customer experience at all levels as measured by the distributor and Brights own internal measurement.
  • Be an exemplary ambassador for Bright Motor Group, living our values of joy, imagination, ownership, togetherness and trust.
  • Represent the dealership to major customers and professional associations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to group policies and processes.
  • Assume responsibility for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the dealership facility.
  • Implement best practice standards in health and safety (including compliance with all legal obligations) and employee wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a General Manager/Dealer Principal role within a franchise dealer.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and performance management skills, especially in a pressurised environment.
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Experience in a target-driven environment
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Experience in the areas of talent acquisition, retention and staff development.
  • Experience in maintaining exemplary customer relations.
  • Experience with multi-brand operations is advantageous.
  • Sound business acumen with the ability to control costs and increase profits.
  • Relevant and up-to-date knowledge of vehicle trends, consumer and vehicle legislation, industry and trade practices.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proactive approach to developing, implementing and maintaining best practice systems and processes.
  • Strong people management skills and leadership ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
