We're now seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award winning team as General Manager at Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton.

Job responsibilities

Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets.

• Ensure the consistent delivery of high quality person centred care and that residents receive care based on best practice.
• Be responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
• Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, and with health and social care professionals involved in residents' wellbeing.
• Ensure safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
• Provide ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Manage costs effectively, keep budgetary controls in place, review and monitor stock regularly.

About you

To be successful, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.

• Have a minimum of four years' experience in a similar care environment.
• Hold Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
• Possess excellent leadership and management skills.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be competent in IT.
• Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.
