We're looking for an inspiring, commercially driven General Manager to lead our freshly renovated Courtyard by Marriott Bremen into its next chapter. Located right next to Bremen's main railway station and blending modern comfort with historic character, the hotel is ready for a leader who wants to elevate guest experience, empower teams, and drive strong performance in a vibrant, international market.

YOUR ROLE AS GENERAL MANAGER

As General Manager, you hold full responsibility for the hotel's operational, financial, and cultural success. You lead with presence, clarity, and empathy, ensuring an outstanding guest experience while achieving strong commercial results. You are the key representative of the hotel towards owners, partners, guests, and the local market.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Lead all hotel operations with a visible, hands-on leadership approach

  • Ensure excellent guest satisfaction and consistent service quality across all departments

  • Manage and develop department heads and teams (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, in house Sales)

  • Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and GOP optimization

  • Oversee and manage multi-property or complex budget structures, where applicable

  • Implement and maintain Marriott brand standards and operational excellence

  • Analyze KPIs, guest feedback, and financial results to continuously improve performance

  • Build strong relationships with local business partners, corporate clients, and the Bremen community

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing, engaged leadership team

  • Act as brand ambassador for Courtyard and Odyssey Hotel Group in the local market

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Extensive leadership experience in hotel operations, ideally at General Manager level, or strong senior leadership experience demonstrating readiness for full property responsibility.

  • Strong understanding of hotel operations

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Solid financial acumen, including experience managing hotel budgets and commercial targets

  • Strategic yet hands-on leadership style

  • Ability to motivate, develop, and retain strong teams

  • Confident decision-maker with a structured and analytical mindset

  • Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level)

  • Experience with Marriott brands is an advantage
