Job Description
Overview

The General Manager role at Avery Healthcare is an opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team in delivering exceptional person-centered care to residents in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. This role requires a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care setting, as well as strong leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, person-centered care, while meeting regulatory requirements and business performance targets.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop staff within the Home.
  • Act as a focal point for residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals involved in residents wellbeing.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with occupancy and dependency.
  • Provide ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensure costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.

About you / Qualifications
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; IT competency.
  • Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
