The General Manager at Crate 2.0 has responsibility for the bar and pizzeria's operations. As General Manager, you will provide support to the team during shifts, support continuous team training and development, and be responsible for operational, budget, compliance, customer and staff requirements.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shift management including opening and closing responsibilities and providing support to supervisors and FOH teams to ensure all on shift tasks are completed.
- Champion team welfare across both FOH and BOH teams, promoting a positive and supportive working environment.
- Lead on team development by conducting regular one-to-ones and performance appraisals
- Oversight of training in collaboration with the People Manager and other bar managers.
- Be responsible for rotas, ensuring effective coverage at the bar.
- Ensure full adherence to all licensing, health and safety, and operational regulatory requirements.
- Disciplinaries and performance management, with support from the People Manager.
- Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, and servicing of all bar equipment, fixtures, and fittings to ensure a safe and fully operational environment.
- Managing the venue's financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting (with the support of the Finance Team and Head of Operations), managing the P&L, and implementing effective cost control measures across labour, supplier costs, and wastage.
- Maintaining the functionality of the POS and related systems
- Providing support to the Stock and Procurement Manager with product pricing and development of drinks range
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks or duties as requested, in line with the overall needs of the venue
- Opportunity to take part in our four-day week trial upon successful completion of the 6 month probationary period.
