Job Description
Oak View Group

Part of Oak View Group (OVG), Rhubarb is a premium hospitality collective specialising in luxury event catering, restaurant dining, and hospitality. Rhubarb delivers unique dining and venue management at some of the world's most iconic locations.

About the Venue

22 Bishopsgate is a workplace designed to benefit and support a diverse, connected community. The Market is the foodie heart of 22 Bishopsgate, a bustling space housing two coffee bars, a collection of food counters, an all-day restaurant, outdoor and indoor bars, and a catered events space. We are adding thriving On-Floor Catering. We're looking for an exceptional General Manager to join our team at 22B.

Role Purpose

As General Manager, you'll oversee the smooth operation of our restaurant and adjoining terrace, The Italian Market Kitchen, as well as kiosks including Patch, our salad bar, and Residency, which could range from Asian street food to sourdough pizza. We also have a conferencing room called the Market Hub and cater events in the building.

Across the outlets, we serve over a thousand customers daily. With a range of kiosks and bars showcasing London's vibrant food and drink scene, there's something for everyone!

The ideal candidate will have experience in quality restaurants and/or food retail. Corporate B&I experience is a plus but not essential. Great presence, personality, communication skills, and a love of food and drink are essential.

This pivotal role involves leading a team of 70, including 6 managers. You will establish effective communication and accountability to ensure exceptional service. Success requires collaboration with the senior culinary team to maintain food quality and innovation, and working closely with RHC support functions to optimize operations across outlets. You will also maintain a productive partnership with the building landlord at 22 Bishopsgate to create an outstanding environment for your team and customers.

This leadership position demands balancing strategic vision with hands-on operational excellence in a premium food service environment.

We seek smart (in all senses), polished individuals. Serious on the outside, fun on the inside! An incredible opportunity to join a vibrant, scaling food business with genuine career progression for the right person.

What's in it for you?

  • Exceptional personal training and development opportunities.
  • Exposure to wider business and events in London and beyond.
  • Regular salary review and increase.
  • Internal transfer and promotion opportunities.
  • Recognition programs, incentives, and rewards.
  • Meals on duty.
  • 40% discount across venues.
  • Corporate gym discount.
  • Electric car leasing scheme.
Our Inclusion Commitments

RHC is for everyone. Diversity drives innovation, strengthens our team, improves our service, and raises our standards.

Wherever you come from, wherever you are going, we'd love to hear from you.

If you need additional support or adjustments with your application, let us know, and we will work with you to ensure you have everything you need.
