# General Manager - Detection & Security Role: Permanent Salary: €90,000/ANNUAL Location: WH, IE Reference: 86619Apply Now Save Back to Jobs General Manager - Security & Life Safety Location: Mullingar, Ireland Salary: Senior package DOE Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based with travel as required Overview We are supporting a senior leadership appointment for a growing Irish Security & Life Safety platform .This is a high-impact General Manager role leading multiple businesses under one group structure, with responsibility for commercial performance, operational standards, margin discipline, senior leadership and continued growth.The platform is already well established and is now looking for a senior leader who can bring structure, process, commercial focus and people leadership across the group. The Role The General Manager will lead the strategic and operational direction of the group, working closely with senior leaders across each business.You will be responsible for driving growth, improving performance, embedding consistent operating standards and ensuring the business continues to scale in a controlled and commercially strong way.Key responsibilities include: Leading multiple businesses as one senior leadership platform Owning commercial performance, forecasting, margins and growth targets Driving operational consistency across service, project delivery and customer experience Standardising processes, reporting, pricing discipline and service delivery Supporting senior leaders and holding teams accountable in a constructive way Building major client, supplier and stakeholder relationships Improving recurring revenue across service, maintenance and monitoring Championing HSEQ, compliance and high operating standards Supporting acquisition integration and future growth activity Driving adoption of group systems, processes and data-led reporting About You This role will suit an experienced senior leader from a fire detection, life safety, electronic security or technical services background.You will likely have: 5+ years' experience in fire detection, life safety, security or a related technical sector 5+ years' experience leading a multi-site, group or senior operational structure Demonstrable P&L ownership at scale Strong commercial judgement across pricing, margins, contracts and growth Experience leading senior managers or business leaders Strong understanding of systems, standards, compliance and service delivery Ability to build trust with experienced teams while still driving accountability Excellent communication skills with clients, senior leaders and operational teams A structured, process-led approach to improving business performance Desirable Experience Degree in business, engineering or related discipline Lean / operational excellence background Experience implementing or improving digital operating platforms M&A integration or acquisition experience Major account / B2B stakeholder management experience Why This Role This is a strong opportunity for a senior GM / Operations Director-level candidate to step into a broad leadership role with real influence across a growing Irish platform.The business is looking for someone who can lead from the front, improve standards, support experienced leaders and help take the group to its next stage of growth.
