General Maintenance Operative

General Maintenance Operative Location: Ashford Salary: £17p/h

We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused General Maintenance Operative to join our Repairs & Maintenance team. This is a varied, hands on role where you'll be the first response to damp and mould cases, carrying out repairs and remedial works that help us meet our responsibilities under Awaab's Law.

What you'll do

• Respond to damp and mould cases and carry out first response repairs.
• Diagnose and complete minor repairs, including basic leak repairs.
• Undertake mould treatments and remedial works.
• Carry out general maintenance to occupied and void properties.
• Support void property turnaround with tasks including: Lock changes.
• Minor plumbing, carpentry and decorating repairs.
• Property clearances.
• Making homes safe and ready to let.

What you'll bring

• Experience in property maintenance or building repairs.
• A trade background in Carpentry, Plumbing or Painting & Decorating.
• Multi skilled maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic building defects, leaks and damp issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
