Description

Shoreham Port Solutions offers temporary work assignments across a range of businesses at Shoreham Port.

What will I be doing?

• Loading and unloading cargo from vessels, with the opportunity to work landside or on the vessel (full supported training given)
• Working in the Timber Terminal bar-coding timber packs.
• Restacking timber packs and keeping operational areas tidy.
• Fully supported training given on all roles.
• Working in other business around the port estate on occasions.
• A variety of working patterns available within operating hours: 0600 - 1800 hours.
• Shift allocation and start time will depend at which business the assignment is based.

Skills & Experience

• No previous port or maritime experience is required.
• Assignments will be based in a port environment and will involve working outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
• Full training given with ongoing support.

Pay/Package

• Weekend rate paid at time and a half Saturday and Sunday and Bank holiday.
• A full Health & Safety induction will be given.
• Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplied.
