About the Role
We are looking for a caring and reliableGeneral Assistantto support ourDomestic and Kitchen teams.
This is an important role within our home, helping to ensure residents enjoy clean, comfortable surroundings and nutritious, well-presented meals. You'll work closely with colleagues across the home to create an environment where residents feel safe, respected and valued.
Whether you're preparing dining areas, assisting in the kitchen or maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, your work will make a meaningful difference to the daily lives of our residents.
What you'll be doingDomestic Duties
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment throughout the home.
- Clean residents' bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms and offices to a high standard.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance concerns.
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity and personal belongings while carrying out cleaning duties.
- Support the Chef with the preparation and serving of meals.
- Prepare dining rooms so they are welcoming and ready for residents.
- Serve meals and drinks in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.
- Assist with washing up and maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen environment.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Friendly, caring and approachable.
- Reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Proud of delivering high standards in everything they do.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Respectful of residents' dignity, independence and individual preferences.
- Committed to providing excellent service and contributing to a positive home environment.
Previous experience in domestic cleaning, catering or hospitality is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided.
