GCSE Tutor

This role is ideal for someone who believes that confidence, trust, and self-esteem come before academics, and who can create a calm, supportive learning environment.

• 10 hours per week, flexible schedule
• Focus on building confidence, emotional wellbeing, and self-belief
• Academic support in GCSE Maths and English, introduced gradually at the young person's pace
• Sessions will begin at home, with the goal of transitioning into local community settings such as libraries or quiet cafés to promote confidence and social interaction
• A mentoring style is essential - this is not a high-pressure academic role

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a UK-based education setting
• SEN experience desirable, but not essential
• Calm, patient, trauma-informed approach
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
• Comfortable supporting a young person both academically and emotionally
• Ideally a driver who is willing to transport the student to local public settings when appropriate

• Able to adapt learning to the student's needs
• Focused on growth, not pressure
• Confident working 1:1 in both home and community environments
