Garage Equipment Engineer

• Install, commission, service, and repair tyre , garage and workshop equipment.


• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.


• Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.


• Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve equipment breakdowns.


• Ensure equipment is installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer and safety requirements.


• Provide customers with technical advice and guidance on equipment operation.


• Complete service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation.


• Work safely and professionally at all times.


• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.


• Keep up to date with new equipment, technologies, and relevant industry standards.

Equipment You May Work With

Depending on experience, the role may involve working with:

• Vehicle lifts and ramps


• Tyre changers and wheel balancers


• Wheel alignment equipment


• Air compressors and air systems


• Vehicle testing and diagnostic equipment


• NCT /vehicle inspection equipment


• Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment


• Other automotive garage and workshop equipment

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Qualified or experienced in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or engineering work.


• Practical and confident working with tools and equipment.


• Comfortable diagnosing and resolving technical faults.


• Able to work independently and as part of a team.


• Customer-focused with good communication skills.


• Reliable, organised, and professional.


• Willing to travel to customer sites required.


• Committed to working safely and maintaining high standards.

A full clean driving licence is essential. Previous experience with garage equipment, automotive equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, or field service engineering would be an advantage.
