Functional Skills Tutor

Are you an experienced tutor or teacher who believes education should be flexible, inclusive, and genuinely life-changing?

We are seeking aFunctional Skills Tutor in Telford to work with young people who need learning delivered differently. You will teachFunctional Skills Maths and/or English from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, supporting learners to rebuild confidence, skills, and motivation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality Functional Skills teaching (Entry Level 1-Level 2)
• Plan personalised learning for young people with SEND
• Track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• Work collaboratively to share best practice and raise standards
• Support learner engagement, confidence, and progression

Who We're Looking For

• A qualified teaching professional (Level 5 or above)
• Experience teaching Functional Skills or GCSE alternatives
• Confident working with post-16 learners, including those with SEND
• Calm, resilient, and relationship-focused
• Motivated by purpose and positive change

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £29,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
