Full Stack Developer/Belgium

Full Stack Developer required with React,Node.js and Python experience required to join a leading client based in Brussels.

2 days per week onsite

Fluent in Dutch or French

Technical stack you'll work with

• Frontend UI: React
• Frontend API ( Backend for Frontend ): Node.js + Koa.js
• Backend services: Python + FastAPI (+ Pydantic)
• Cloud: Azure, AKS, Azure DevOps

Mandatory - Frontend

Experience building front-ends with React

Frontend testing:

• Unit testing using Vitest
• End-to-end testing using Playwright

Mandatory - Backend

Experience designing and building REST APIs.

Hands-on experience with both of the following:

• Node.js + Koa.js (Frontend API/BFF layer).
• Python + FastAPI + Pydantic (Back End services).

Comfortable working in both JavaScript/TypeScript and Python in the same project and switching between them as needed.

Able to maintain a Backend for Frontend (BFF) layer:

• Handling authentication/authorization,
• Calling downstream FastAPI/Back End services,

Unit/integration testing (eg pytest for Python).

Databases: basic experience with SQL databases and schema design.

Must-have - Cloud (Azure/DevOps)

• Container-based deployment: building Docker images and deploying to AKS.
• CI/CD: setting up basic pipelines in Azure DevOps .
• Kubernetes: basic knowledge; able to check pods/logs and do simple troubleshooting.

Nice-to-have - AI skills

• Experience with Azure AI Services (Document Intelligence, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI/Azure AI Foundry).
• Experience with chatbots/LLM-based customer-facing applications.

Soft skills

• Able to demo features to non-technical stakeholders and talk to business.
