Role Overview
We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer with solid experience across both front-end and back-end technologies, and a strong understanding of content management systems - ideally Umbraco, to join our growing and ambitious Development team.
You will form part of a high calibre team responsible for development and maintenance of software applications for various business lines driving value from these systems.
We are looking for someone with a passion for software development from conception to deployment. You will have the desire to strive and go the extra mile.
Main Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain websites using Umbraco CMS, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive across various devices
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to build websites that meet client requirements and enhance user experience
- Optimize the front-end code for performance, accessibility, and usability
- Develop effective and secure server-side functions
- Run diagnostics and implement resolutions of software faults
- Test software to ensure they meet the agreed requirements and are responsive and efficient
- Ensure all business-critical services run smoothly and be able to manage escalations and see tasks through to completion
General Duties
- Contribute to the development of the Development team processes to ensure they are cohesive, efficient, and effective
- Work as part of a team, using Agile methodologies
- Undertake training and development as appropriate and engage fully in the performance management process
- Contribute to the LawDeb culture positively, attend meetings as required, and carry out duties willingly and diligently
- Where regulatory rules apply, abide by these in spirit and fact
- Carry out such other tasks as you may be reasonably directed to do by your line manager and the senior management team from time to time
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Full-stack Developer
- Proficiency with C# and React
- Ability to customise and extend Umbraco CMS platforms to meet business requirements
- History of software craftmanship and appreciation for clean and well-designed codebases
- Experience developing web-based applications with SQL databases
- Experience of working in an Agile manner, attending the typical ceremonies, adopting the principles and practices that entails, and solving complex problems iteratively with fellow team members
- Familiar with version control

- Experience working with Jira
- Familiarity with common stacks
