This is a tenure-track professorship for a five-year term leading to a tenured W2 position.

We are inviting applications for the position of full professor in the area of organic chemistry, to be filled as soon as possible.

Research Focus

Applicants should be successfully active in a current and future-oriented field of (bio-)catalytic and synthetic organic chemistry, which complements the existing research areas at the institute in a meaningful way.

The focus of the work should be on the development of new methods in biochemical and organic catalytic processes, directed towards applications in life sciences.

Special emphasis is placed on:

• Interdisciplinary cooperation
• Integration into the main research areas of RWTH Aachen University (e.g., profile area Molecular Science and Engineering)
