Location: Peterborough (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months (Likely Extension)
Rate: £40 - £46 p/h Umbrella

We are recruiting for a Fuel Systems Development Engineer to support the development of new diesel engine products.
This position will take ownership of fuel system development activities on a major new product programme, supporting the delivery of robust, high-performance engineering solutions. Working within an experienced engineering team, you will contribute to the development, validation and optimisation of fuel systems used in advanced diesel engine applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead fuel system development activities for new product programmes.
• Develop, validate and optimise high-pressure fuel systems.
• Analyse engineering data to identify performance improvements and resolve technical issues.
• Support engine and fuel system testing activities.
• Work closely with suppliers and engineering stakeholders to deliver programme objectives.
• Prepare technical reports and development documentation.
• Support validation activities and performance optimisation programmes.
• Ensure project delivery against quality, timing and cost targets.

Skills:

• Minimum 5 years' relevant engineering experience.
• High-pressure fuel systems expertise.
• Fuel systems development experience.
• Diesel or reciprocating engine product development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience analysing engineering and test data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Off-highway engine experience.
• Experience with fuel system testing and validation activities.
• Experience supporting new product introduction programmes.
• 10+ years relevant industry experience.
