To join our team, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Guest Experience Lead. You will take charge of the front-of-house experience in this leadership position in the centre of the café, making sure that each visitor departs with a unique tale to tell. As we grow our flagship location and introduce new ideas, you will have a major influence on how Qima Café provides hospitality, from increasing sales of high-margin goods to providing real-time team mentoring.

What you're going to do
  • Oversee the FOH crew on the floor, making sure that each shift is filled with kind, considerate, and effective service.
  • Encourage the upselling of brunch, plated desserts, and retail goods to increase revenue.
  • Hold daily service briefings to keep the team informed about daily priorities, promotions, and seasonal launches.
  • Teach and guide employees in resolving complaints, upselling, and visitor decorum.
  • Work together with the culinary and barista staff to develop upsell scripts and discussion points for guests as you promote new menu items and retail merchandise.
  • Respond to guest complaints as soon as possible to provide a prompt and considerate recovery.
  • Supervise daily preparedness, consumables, and FOH stock.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in premium casual dining or speciality coffee.
  • A born host with excellent communication abilities and a guest-first mentality.
  • The capacity to lead and inspire a group of people in a hectic setting.
  • Commercial recognition with a history of increasing ATV and sales.
  • A love of hospitality that strikes a balance between friendliness, skill, and effectiveness.
  • As Qima Café expands, there is a desire to advance into more operational leadership positions.

Hours: Full-time

Hourly wage: £16.00-£17.00
