Job Description

Front-End Software Developer

A well-established tech company in Christchurch is looking for a talented Front-End Software Developer to help craft the next generation of IoT user interfaces. You'll work with a passionate engineering team to build and maintain clean, intuitive web applications using modern frameworks like Vue.js and Angular.

Your day-to-day :

  • Build responsive, scalable UI for web apps
  • Collaborate with UX / UI designers to bring interfaces to life
  • Integrate front-end features with RESTful APIs
  • Write clean, maintainable JavaScript / TypeScript code
  • Stay sharp on front-end trends and tech

What you'll bring :

  • 3+ years in front-end development
  • Proficiency in Vue.js (2 / 3) and / or Angular (2+), including state management tools
  • Strong grasp of JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS preprocessors, and Git
  • Experience integrating APIs, handling async requests
  • Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser quirks, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite)

Bonus points for :

  • Experience with backend tech (Java, Python)
  • UI design tools (Figma, Photoshop)
  • Front-end testing, CI / CD workflows
  • Energy sector background
  • Fluency in German
