Job Description
Overview

A warm, friendly and energetic family in Worcester are looking for a nurturing nanny to join them from September, caring for their delightful one year old boy two days a week. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting early development through play, routine and fun, and who can take the lead on the child's daily routine during these days, creating a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Support early development through play, routine and fun.
• Manage the child's daily routine, including sleep schedule, during Wednesday and Thursday.
• Prepare simple, family friendly meals for the family.
• Perform light household duties related to the child, such as keeping his spaces tidy and cleaning up after meals.
• Assist with general household tasks such as laundry, clearing away after meals and maintaining a smoothly run home.
• Support the child's transition to nursery when it begins in December.
• Care for the family's dog, walking, feeding and daily care required.
• Optionally provide additional babysitting or occasional weekend hours on an ad hoc basis, if desired.

Schedule & Location

• Location: Barbourne, Worcester, Worcestershire
• Hours of work: 7:15 am - 6:15 pm
• Days required: Wednesday and Thursday
• Job start date: 2 September 2026

Compensation

£17,160 gross per annum (£15 gross per hour). This is a permanent position.

Requirements
  • Up to date Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
  • 12 hour Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Minimum of two professional referees, including your current or last employer, who are immediately contactable.
  • Appropriate professional insurance (e.g., nanny insurance) is recommended.
