What you'll be doing:- Review and define the most efficient operational frameworks for all new and existing counters and hallmarks.
- Use agreed frameworks to deliver an outstanding customer experience and embed efficient, repeatable standards in-store.
- Challenge and highlight where proposed operational standards are not workable, collaborating with cross functional teams to identify optimal solutions.
- Update, replace and standardise existing SOPs as required.
- Utilise Fresh Food Advisor (FFA) and Musgrave Operating Partners Ireland expertise to provide operational and training support where required.
- Support Meals trials, ensuring best practice operational learnings are captured and embedded prior to wider rollout.
- Review post launch operations plans and optimise prior to releasing to the wider estate.
- Train, coach and mentor colleagues at all levels, adapting approach to different learning styles.
- Designing and delivering structured training programmes that support operational excellence.
- Coach colleagues in selling through service, driving customer engagement, product knowledge and effective upselling.
- Providing on the job coaching, constructive feedback and follow up to embed learning and capability.
- Creating training manuals, toolkits and learning materials for consistent use across the business.
- Develop clear, practical and user friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with business standards.
- Strong written communication skills, ensuring materials are clear, accurate and easy to follow.
- Ability to support fresh department revamps, including preparation, training, implementation and follow up.
- Experience working in fast paced environments with changing priorities.
- Capable of supporting stores through periods of change and transition, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining high standards.
- Ability to liaise effectively with Regional Managers (RM) and Regional HR Managers (RHRM) to understand store priorities and training needs.
- Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Comfortable working cross functionally to align operational, people and training requirements.
- Highly customer centric mindset, with a passion for delivering excellent fresh food experiences.
- Ability to support stores in developing and maintaining best practice displays that drive availability, quality perception and sales.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining brand, hygiene and food safety standards.
- Proven experience working within fresh food departments (e.g. produce, meat, bakery, deli or similar), with a strong understanding of fresh food standards, quality, safety and availability.
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer expectations within a fresh food retail environment.
- Strong understanding of best practice merchandising, stock rotation, waste control and presentation across fresh food categories.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in retail, ideally within fresh food.
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing or leading others, with strong influencing skills.
- Food preparation or food service experience an advantage, ideally in a high volume or industrial catering environment.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders and create buy in for initiatives that deliver profitable sales and enhance the consumer offering.
- Strong IT capability, including practical experience with MS Office.
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full driving licence.
