About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic French Language Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality French language instruction, developing engaging learning materials, assessing student performance, and fostering an interactive learning environment that promotes language proficiency and cultural understanding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French language courses at certificate, diploma, or degree level.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Promote active learning through interactive classroom activities and language immersion techniques.
  • Support students through academic advising and mentorship.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and quality assurance activities.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into language instruction.
  • Contribute to extracurricular language and cultural activities where appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in French, French Language, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree in French, Applied Linguistics, Language Education, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • A recognised teaching qualification is desirable.
  • Previous teaching experience at college or university level is preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written French and English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and educational technology.
