Join us as a Fraud Strategy analyst at Barclays where you will help shape the future of banking by supporting the fraud and scams function through writing, optimising, and utilising coding proficiencies. The role will involve impact assessments, insights production and data analysis to support the wider team function with sophisticated use of coding language proficiencies.
Purpose of the RoleTo support the Risk Function in delivering its objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.
Accountabilities- Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
- Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
- Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders and maintenance of the quality of external third party services.
- Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.
- Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, consistently driving continuous improvement.
- Require in-depth technical knowledge and experience in assigned area of expertise.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.
- Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources.

Key Qualifications- Considerable data analytics experience, with strong SQL skills and working knowledge of SAS.
- Previous experience working within a fraud function.
- Previous experience with insights production, data visualisation, and writing reports.
- Previous financial services experience.
- Assessment on critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.
This role can be based in London or Northampton.
