Job Description
Foundry Caster 
We are seeking a committed and safety focused Foundry Caster to join the copper alloy Foundry team. Working alongside experienced casters, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of continuous horizontal casting lines with a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing heats according to various copper alloy groups
- Operating furnaces, including melting, skimming, and testing metal
- Performing basic mathematical calculations for alloy alterations
- Maintaining furnaces and casting areas (pecking, sweeping, cleaning)
- Inspecting cast strip and unloading cast coils
- Using basic computer skills to book coils into the system
- Completing casting reports, FLT checkbooks, and reporting issues to the Foundry office
- Reporting directly to the Leading Hand and Foundry Supervisors
- £33,000 per year
