Right Now Group are currently recruiting for experienced Forklift Operatives / Warehouse Operatives to join our client based near Heathrow. These are exciting temp-to-perm opportunities for experienced warehouse professionals looking to build a long-term career within the aviation and freight logistics industry.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years' aviation warehousing experience and a valid forklift licence. Previous X-ray experience would be an advantage or candidates who are willing to be fully trained on the X-ray machine.
Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Operative :
- Operating forklift equipment safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading freight
- Moving and positioning aviation cargo within the warehouse
- Handling and checking freight in line with company procedures
- Supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation
- Operating X-ray equipment following full training
- Ensuring freight is handled safely and securely
- Completing relevant warehouse documentation
- Following all site security, health & safety and operational procedures
- Working as part of a busy aviation logistics team
Shift Patterns:
Friday - Monday 44 hours
- Friday: 10:00 - 20:00
- Saturday: 08:00 - 18:00
- Sunday: 08:00 - 18:00
- Monday: 10:00 - 20:00
Salary: £29,500 + 20% shift premium
Additional £3,000 salary increase upon successful completion of X-ray training.
OR
Tuesday - Saturday
- Tuesday - Friday: 11:30 - 20:00
- Saturday: 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £29,500 + 10% shift premium
Additional £3,000 salary increase upon successful completion of X-ray training.
Requirements for Forklift Operative:
- Valid forklift licence
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within aviation warehousing
- Previous X-ray experience is desirable OR willingness to undertake X-ray training
- Previous freight/logistics experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of warehouse health & safety
