Forklift and Overhead Crane

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently seeking FLT drivers/overhead crane operatives on a rotating shift pattern. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established and growing company.

• Operate overhead crane moving steel to various locations around the factory.
• Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to transport finished products to goods out areas.
• Use of in house computer systems to monitor stock/inventory and to book goods in/out.
• Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely.
• Banding and palletising finished goods.
• Monitor quality of materials and finished products, ensuring they meet company standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as required.
• Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

• Previous experience operating overhead cranes, ideally working with metal.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern.
• Great attitude and willingness to learn.

This role will be working on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday with pay varying from £12.76 to £14.95 dependant on experience.
