Food Hall Supervisor

Location: East Yorkshire
Salary: £14.09/hour

Hours: 40 hours per week, alternate weekends

An independent, family run garden centre in East Yorkshire is looking for a Food Hall Supervisor to lead its busy Food Hall department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a premium food retail background who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, merchandising quality products and active selling. Whether your experience comes from a food hall, farm shop, deli, or premium supermarket, this could be the ideal next step.

The centre has built an excellent reputation for its friendly team, locally sourced produce and popular food offering, including a delicatessen stocked with Yorkshire cheeses, cooked meats, pies and artisan products.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Overseeing the day to day running of the Food Hall.
• Leading a small team of two colleagues.
• Ordering stock and maintaining availability throughout the year.
• Merchandising displays and maintaining high retail standards.
• Preparing and cooking selected food products, including pies.
• Delivering excellent customer service and actively promoting premium food products.
• Supporting seasonal trading, particularly during the busy Christmas period.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has retail experience, ideally within premium food retail, a deli, farm shop or food hall.
• Enjoys talking to customers and is passionate about quality food.
• Can confidently recommend and sell products.
• Has previous supervisory experience or is ready to step into a leadership role.
• Is organised, hands on and enjoys working as part of a close knit team.
