Job Description

Food Technology Teacher West London Full-Time Salary: £210 - £250 per day

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a specialist secondary academy in West London.This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people within a supportive and well-resourced educational setting.

The school provides education for students aged 11-19, combining a broad, engaging curriculum, strong pastoral support, and a focus on personal development. The academy also benefits from modern specialist facilities for Design Technology and Food Technology.

The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop students cooking, nutrition, food preparation, and life skills. You will foster a positive learning environment that promotes confidence, independence, and achievement while supporting a range of learning and social, emotional, and mental health needs

  • Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop schemes of work that promote creativity, healthy living and practical food skills.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
  • Ensure a safe and well-managed Food Technology learning environment.
  • Support curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals to enhance student outcomes.
About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
  • Engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs is desirable
