Job Description
Food Technology Teacher - Alternative Provision (ASAP Start)

We are looking for a qualified Food Technology Teacher to join our specialist alternative provision. This role offers the chance to teach Food Technology to small groups of students who require a personalised approach to learning.

The Role
  • Teaching Food Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Planning and delivering engaging, practical and differentiated lessons
  • Supporting students who may have SEMH needs or barriers to learning
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encouraging the development of practical cooking and life skills
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress
  • Working closely with pastoral teams and support staff
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Food Technology
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people
  • A flexible and resilient approach
  • A passion for supporting students to achieve their potential
