Are you a skilled Food Technology specialist with HLTA status, looking to inspire students both in the kitchen and across the wider curriculum?
Academics is seeking a confident and versatile Food Tech HLTA / SEN Cover Supervisor to work across our partner SEN and mainstream schools in Doncaster. This is a unique opportunity to combine your practical catering expertise with whole-class teaching, while making a real difference to students with additional needs.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading whole-class teaching and covering PPA time, including delivering engaging Food Technology lessons that build practical life skills.
- Stepping in to cover pre-planned lessons across other subjects during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Delivering targeted SEN interventions and adapting Food Tech resources to meet the needs of pupils with EHCPs - working closely with SENCOs to track progress and remove barriers to learning.
- Promoting health, safety, and hygiene in practical settings, while fostering independence and creativity in the kitchen.

Essential Requirements:
- HLTA status (or equivalent Level 4/5 qualification) - Food Technology specialism highly desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Two professional references that confirm your experience in education or food-based settings.
